Posted by Jaxon on May 15th, 2008

I have received comments (especially from the ladies) that my website needs more pictures. Well, I do intend to put up more graphics and maybe even videos soon. Pls be patient while I continue to add more quality content. In the meantime, u can check out this blog: Travel to Lanna ล้านนา

Lots of pictures and videos there, and useful info on Chiang Mai and northern Thailand. I think it’s a good read and you will enjoy it too.

Vote For Your Thailand’s Top Destinations

Posted by Jaxon on May 14th, 2008

Vote for Favourite DestinationThis is a massive online tourism campaign run by Bangkok Post. Vote for your favourite places and win a prize!

You can also check out the entries from other people. Like Danai Udormchoke, one of Thailand’s top tennis players. His choice is Chiang Mai! :) The words in the pic may be too small, so here’s what he said:

“Most of my vacations are spent in Chiang Mai. An exuberant town with a little bit of everything for everyone, it has the perfect ingredients to make a vacation truly memorable.”

I couldn’t have put it better! Do check out this contest. It runs for 9 months. You can also download some useful roadmaps all over Thailand too! Here’s the link.

Happy Mother’s Day

Posted by Jaxon on May 11th, 2008

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms all over the world!

In Thailand, Mother’s Day (Wan Mae Heng Chat) does not fall on today though. It’s on the Queen’s birthday, on Aug 12. This is because Thais consider the Queen to be the mother of all Thai people.
